Uval Castle

Location: Realms Of Black Lake
Uval Castle is situated on the western shore of Eleur Province, about a hundred miles south of the northern border the province shares with neighboring Lithya, and seventy odd miles north of Cria Citadel in the province’s south.

It is one of two remaining fortresses located within the province, and is known to be occupied by a people who are born trapped in total insanity, descendants of the plague victims of ancient times. Uval Castle is all that remains of this region’s most noted house of ancient times.

In days of old the castle was the home of a greedy warlord who ruled over the northern lands of this province with an iron hand. He taxed his people into utter poverty, and tortured them without mercy, driving many of them to attempt escape into neighboring kingdoms.

Unfortunately, for most of those who tried to flee from his lust and tyranny, their attempts often brought them to a torturous and horrific death.

It is said, if one listens on moonless nights, the pitiful wailing of his victims can be still be heard on the winds coming onto the shoreline from the western sea.
