Shield Maiden

Forum: Realms Of Black Lake - In some barbarian, and medieval, societies there were certain women who followed the path of a warrior.

They were women trained to be as courageous, skilled, and tough as any man of their community, and were often women of high standing, such as a priestess, a chieftain's daughter or wife, or a similiar placement.

They were refered to by many titles, depending on what culture they were born into, but the most common titles throughout many of these ancient societies were Shield Maiden and Sword Maiden
