Scrubbing Sands

They are soaked in vats of scented oils, then dried in stone ovens until they become a thick paste. The paste is then sold in small packets that can be opened, then the sand is poured into the hand for use during bathing.

The sands may even be packed into the middle of thick woolen pads for more controlled usage. The woolen pads can be refilled from the packets, or may simply be discarded when they are empty. Most people prefer to refill them as the pads themselves have a very long life.

These sands are a favored item for personal hygiene, for both poor and rich alike. Their prices vary depending on the oils used in their manufacture, but few are very costly.

They are also a favored choice among those of the adventuring trade for their ease of use and storage, and the fact that they do not spoil. If the sand should become hard from being stored for a long time, it only takes a few drops of water or oil to make it usable again.

Thus these scrubbing sands, available almost anywhere, are a good thing to have no matter what one does for a living.
