Pixie Gold

Forum: Realms of Black Lake - Pixie gold is not actually gold in color. It's found deep underground, usually not too far from an underground flowing water source, such as a hidden river or stream. Named for it's trickster-like properties, actual physical contact with this mineral is avoided by many for it's more unusual properties. Those who do come into physical contact with the mineral have been known to endure some rather amusing consequences, although generall harmless.

Once the skin has come into contact with pixie gold it will begin to change color, becoming an aqua blue or bright forest green over the several minutes, and not just where the contatct occurred, but all over the body. If the contact was sustained, say for a few minutes, the person's voice will become very high-pitched and incomprehensible to others. Basically, they will spend the next month speaking water or forest pixie, depending on the type of pixie gold they came into contact with, aqua blue or bright forest green.

There is no known cure. Anyone afflicted, must simply wait for it to wear off. Luckily, pockets of this mineral are rare, so those who use it's powder for practical jokes are hard pressed to find it.
