Neutral Good

Those characters who have a neutral good alignment believe that a balance of forces is important, but that the concerns of law and chaos do not moderate the need for good.

The universe is vast and within it there are many different creatures working toward different goals. Therefor, an avid pursuit of good will not upset the balance; it may even maintain it is a neutral good character's opinion.

If fostering good means supporting organized society, then they believe that is what must be done. If good can only be done by the overthrow of an existing social order, then so be it. Social structure itself has no real value to them for the most part.

A noble who refuses to obey the orders of his king, because he believes those orders to be evil, is an example of a neutral good character.
