Command Module

The portion of a small space craft, usually an orbiter, in which the astronauts live and operate the controls during flight.

Forum: Dark Universe - One of the main control modules for a long range, deep space, vessel's main navigational computer. Also used on some space stations in the more isolated regions of the universe.

Some of the newer models are capable of recording the last known position of the vessel, or station, in the event of its destruction, as well as sending out a homing signal for retrieval purposes.
