Crystal Stoner

Forum: Realms Of Black Lake - Crystal stoners appear to be made of living crystals, but are in fact covered with small shiny scales, that can be a variety of colors. They tend to be fairly docile creatures, unless they feel they, their lair, or their young are threatened in some way.

Gaining the trust and friendship of these creatures can be of great benefit to a traveler. The scales they shed faintly glow for hours after being removed from the light of day, making them very useful in the construction of makeshift lanterns for exploring dark places, or providing a bit of extra light for a campsite during the night.

Crystal stoners are vegetarian, and known for making their homes in caves located near large berry patches, or groupings of fruit trees.
