Red Backed Slag

Forum: Realms Of Black Lake - Red backed slags measure nearly a foot in length. They are highly aggressive, and will attack virtually any thing that disturbs them. They are very unlike their green backed cousins.

They are not grub eaters, and will readily eat any thing they can kill, or even feed on carrion. These lizards are highly poisonous, paralyzing and blinding their prey by spitting venom at their eyes, and they travel in small groups of about a dozen.

These lizards can be found in any shady area, inside or outside, and have been known to attack travelers as they slept on the ground, slipping into their bedrolls unnoticed.

Their bite is extremely painful and highly septic.

Their presence is often announced by a loud hissing sound they make just before attacking the creature closest to them.
