Harkas

Forum: Realms Of Black Lake - Harkas are creatures that inhabit all areas of the realms. From a distance they appear as nothing more than an ordinary horse that could be found in any city or village, but on closer inspection their true nature is soon discovered.

They are meat eaters, equipped with razor sharp claws on their feet that extend to measure 3-4 inches in length, and are bone hard. Their mouths are filled with two perfectly matched rows of savage teeth, teeth that can easily tear through studded leather armor as if it were nothing more than a table cloth.

These creatures are aggressive, territorial, and highly protective of their young. They hunt in packs of 5-10 members, one of which is the alpha male and will lead any charges made by the group.

Their only fear is water, as unlike the benign creature they resemble, they cannot swim and will avoid deep bodies of water without fail.
