Efflyn

Forum: Realms Of Black Lake - Efflyn are tiny mites that prey on anyone foolish enough to sleep near their nests, which could be just about anywhere in a warm region.

They have a preference for the blood of anyone of elven descent, and will quite readily concentrate their feeding efforts on them, while leaving other party members in relative peace.

The only known way to rid oneself of these annoying little parasites is to be covered with a hot mustard paste, then left to sit for two to three hours while the paste does its work.

It is well known these tiny insects have a natural immunity to elven magics, making them an even bigger annoyance to the fair folk, and if they wander too close to a nest, one of the few creatures an elf cannot seem to avoid.

After treatment the infested individual may bath and remove the infestation.

The victim's clothing, etc. must be boiled in a hot mustard bath for an hour or more for delousing to be effective.
