Deer Rock

Forum: Realms Of Black Lake - Rock deer are found only in the mountainous regions, and are shy, reclusive creatures that usually avoid man and his homes. They are somewhat larger than their common cousins, and generally move about only at night, as their eyes do not see well in the light of day.

The antlers of this particular species of deer have a chemical property that makes for excellent rust proofing of armor when ground into a paste with oil, and as such, if one is lucky enough to come across a carcass a few dollars may be made from the cutting of the antlers.

However, hunting or killing of these deer is illegal as they are endangered and nearly extinct from over hunting in the past.
